I go on the elecktek site all the time looking up the latest news about EV cars and tesla cars. This article is the first time where I read in the comments that mostly everyone in the comments were saying that the miata would actually be worse as an ev then how it is currently as a ICE .
People stated that having an extremely low weight, low center of gravity, and a small engine tied to a great manual transmission is what defies that car. And since all ev cars have a low center of gravity, they all handle really good, and don't require a transmission so what would be the point of the Miata. People in the comments mentioned the 911 and Corvette also, stating the same thing which got me wondering. So I wanted to know what all my subscribers think about these questions.
The 911 uses a boxer engine and the Corvette a pushrod engine to achieve such a low center of gravity for performance,. When they turn to EVs will people continue to buy those vehicles in the future if all cars have a low COG?
Because of electric engines almost all cars, including cheaper economy cars will be as fast and in some cases even faster then ICE sports cars today so why would you buy a sports car?
Tell me what yall think below in the comments.
