Welcome back everyone. Today I am coming atcha with a recipe that was suggested by some of the food family. These Latin style Black beans can be vegan friendly, just by switching the broth to a veggie broth or stock. Tons of flavor and healthy bits, these are a crowd pleaser. As always seasonings can be adjusted to your liking. 1 1/2 cups dried black beans, picked over, rinsed, soaked overnight and rinsed again
1 medium onion, peeled and diced
1/2 cup bell pepper diced
1 diced roma tomato
1 tbsp garlic powder or to taste
2 tbs Sazon seasoning
4 cups water or broth
1 tbs hot sauce
Turn crock pot on low. Add all ingredients and stir until well combined. Cook on low for 5-7 hours or until liquid is thick and beans are tender. Adjust seasoning to your liking. Serve with rice, cornbread, anything you like...These beans are fire
