You have to lose yourself to find yourself | Halle Richards | TEDxJIS

You have to lose yourself to find yourself | Halle Richards | TEDxJIS What people seem to fear most are fault, rejection, and trouble; but what if, by learning how to grieve, you could learn to get on with life? Halle Richards explains how, instead of living in fear of imperfections, she chooses to embrace her flaws.

Opening-reel animation created for TEDxJIS by Alexander Finch with music performed by Ricky Tjitradjaja.

Halle has an immense love of the arts, including cinematography, writing and performing. She was born in the small city of Perth in Scotland, but has lived in Jakarta since she was 2 months old. Like many teenagers, she is exploring who she is as well as who she wants to be. She recently experienced an epiphany during this ongoing process of discovery. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
