Renowned Philosopher Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar’s Statue Vandalised During TMC-BJP Clashes In Kolkata During the violent clash between TMC and BJP workers in Kolkata on May 14, the statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, a renowned philosopher and a key figure in Bengal, was vandalised by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members. TMC MP Derek O'Brien condemned the violence and said the TMC would upload multiple videos of the horrific events in Kolkata last evening. BJP has refuted the charge and said that ABVP workers are not behind the vandalisation of Vidyasagar's statue.
