In January 2020 the residential unit owners at the Casablanca Condominium Association on Miami Beach will be voting to regain control of their Association after over 12 years of what they are now calling the Steuben Agenda. It is the self-serving agenda of the Association President, Alex Steuben which works against every owner at the Casablanca and it is an agenda that he promotes with the help of the condo management company which he controls like a Foreign Dictator. He accused of using his position as Association President for his own self-enrichment making millions of dollars in an illegal shadow hotel operation he runs on Association property in direct violation of the Condominium Declarations he has the fiduciary duty to enforce. His agenda is one where he illegally diverts condo fees to offer the guests of his shadow hotel program free parking. He has been doing this for over ten years and he does not even deny it. This illegal sliding of funds has cost the owners over $300,000 per year or over $3 Million Dollars during his term in office. Many believe he has demonstrated, without question, that he is a liar, he is a thief by definition as illustrated by the illegal sliding of non-association costs into the association budget and without a doubt he is using his position as President to secure lawyers to defend or push his illegal agenda. Owners only need read the documents filed in court to see the real Alex Steuben.
The Casablanca needs and requires all new owners to sit on the Board and that is the reason many new owners are running for the Board in 2020 and the same reason all owners should or must vote for these new people to become the new Board of Directors and the people that will end the Steuben Agenda and get all the money so easily taken back from Alex Steuben, and his management company. Steuben funded free parking for his guests while he refused to fund building reserves or pay down the $500,000 loan he secured to fix the building. He funded free parking rather than use the money to avoid special assessments required to fix the building problems.
The Steuben Agenda must end, The money Steuben took must be repaid and the Condo Lawyers that pushed the Steuben Agenda need to be sued and all the money Steuben paid them needs to come back to the owners at the Casablanca who have been forced to fund the Steuben Agenda for well over a decade of deception and fraud. Steuben has been exposed and owners are no longer willing to listen or accept his lies.
