Deer Camp in Iron River Michigan

This is our annual hunting trip to the Upper Peninsula. We stay in a 16x32 army tent and there are 5 guys. It takes roughly 10 hours to get up to Iron River Michigan with a couple stops on the way.

It generally takes up about 8-10 set up camp. That includes everything from unloading clothing and gear, starting our diesel stoves for heat, and making sure our tent is set up before dusk.

Typically we start our trip a week before opening day so that we have ample time to set up camp, set blinds, set bait, and take a road trip to watch a Michigan Tech football game. Once opening day comes, our day starts at 3:30am. We make breakfast, gather our stuff together, and we're in our blinds ready to go by 6am.
