In Congo, militia fighters killed 4 health workers and injured 5 others, including a staff from the World Health Organization in separate attacks on two Ebola response centers yesterday.

Over 2,199 people have lost their lives since the Ebola epidemic was announced on August 2018...as violence and unrest have hampered the health authorities' response to the second worst Ebola epidemic on record.

Mai Mai militia fighters and local residents have been attacking health facilities, because they believe Ebola does not exist and believed to have killed at least 80 people in the past month.

As a result, the WHO and UNICEF on Tuesday itself evacuated dozens of their staff working on the Ebola epidemic from the town of Beni.
