A wolf deceived a hen

Once upon a time there was a wolf. It used to come in to the nearest village at nights without making any sound and carry the chicken. Sometimes it used to spoil the crop fields. So many attempts were made to capture it but all of them were failed because of the intelligence of the wolf. All the holy animals had been shivering at nights because of the wolf.

“We are not able to estimate when will the wolf come, from which side and how. None of our trials to capture it gave good results. One of the villagers said.

“It has been talking our pet hens also. It carries them into the forest and eats them up in the forest. We don’t know what to do?” another villager said.

One day the villagers came to know that the wolf had lain down in the fields. All the villagers felt happily that some one night have killed the wolf.

A hen heard the conversation of the villagers. It came to it’s children and said “there is a good news for all of us. I too have heard just now. Our enemy wolf laid down in the fields without any movement in the fields. From to onwards all of you can play without fear. We can also sleep well.” The hen said to it’s children. It’s children felt happy.

The hen and it’s children all of them went to the fields. They saw the wolf lying without any movement.

The children of the hen said “we feared even to took at this wolf. Now we are seeing it very nearer. It is very funny.” They said and started to jump across it.

The wolf moved slowly and said “children, are you feeling that much fun.” The wolf rose up. On hearing it’s voice, the children of the hen feared and went to it’s mother.

“Oh! We think you have died. Have not you died?” the hen asked surprisingly.

The wolf yawned and said. “No my friend last night i ate a little kid of hen stomach fully. So, i slept fast asleep.”

The hen hesitated and counted it’s children, “one child is less. But i could not find.” It thought.

“O my friend, you could not find your missing child. But you came here to know weather i am dead or not.” The wolf criticised the hen.

Moral: “First of all correct yourself and then others.”
