I spent some time thinking on the issue, and my verdict is: it's totally fine. iPad version of Photoshop was created to follow it's initial concept - it's an app for photo editing. It just so happened that all artists started drawing in desktop version of Photoshop, but on iPad, we now have Fresco. Forget Photoshop, the photo editing app.
While splitting iPad's Photoshop into separate apps is exactly the thing we were always bummed out about before, the Fresco situation might actually be a good thing. Finally, digital artists have a separate dedicated, serious app from Adobe, which means, we'll be getting a decent amount of updates (innovations? ehhh...) specifically for creating digital artwork.
