The Pull up is a compound exercise somewhat exclusively used for the upper-body. It entails your arms and back pulling up while body while your abs and core prevent your lower back from arching. By gripping the bar with your palms facing inwards, you can emphasize your arms. When you do this, they become chin-ups which are useful for building bigger stronger biceps. If you are finding Pullups to be difficult, you can start with the chin-ups since they are a little easier. If those still prove difficult, try starting with negatives. Jump over the bar and slowly lower yourself. You can go for a spotter or resistance band to help you on your way up. Without saying much, let's get into the Pullup business.
How to do Pull-up’s:
As the name suggests, it all starts with hanging on the Pullup bar which would be a rack or specific bar in the gym. In case it does not have the Pullup bar, raise the uprights of your squat or power rack as high as possible, put the barbell in the uprights and hang. In case you do not have access to a power rack, you can use a doorway Pullup bar. The crucial thing here is to have a bar to hang. Once you have a stable bar to hang from, here are the five necessary steps of doing Pullups.
