BUYER BEWARE: What a $40 wig from Facebook looks like in real life | Public Service Announcement

BUYER BEWARE: What a $40 wig from Facebook looks like in real life | Public Service Announcement #cysterwigs is here with a #warning: It's scammer season in the wig-o-sphere! We've made this #scamprevention video to help you and your wiggy BFFs avoid getting caught in their trap.

Please share this video! The victims most likely to fall for these scams are folks who are new to medical wigs or are living on a fixed income and desperate for a too-good-to-be-true discount. We have to protect people, which is why this video goes into a lot of detail to help folks learn to better spot the fake and protect themselves. Please don't assume that all of your wig friends online can spot the scam. A lot of times they can't – which is why we often hear about it in online message boards. By sharing this PSA, you help us get the word out so people can save their money for the real deals.

In this video, Heather from CysterWigs.com shows you what a $40 wig from a notorious Chinese rip-off store looks like. This company is NOT us, but actually a Chinese scam operation called Rosegal / Wigsis / Patsywig / Min yi Lian / NewYorkCityWigs that ripped off our name and has ripped off almost every popular wig store and social media influencer on the the internet. We detail several of the best tips for how you can avoid the scam, and why it's so important to only buy these products from AUTHORIZED RETAILERS (like www.cysterwigs.COM), or else you run the risk of buying an ugly counterfeit item.

This video has been produced by CysterWigs.com – a very small, privately owned and operated online boutique specializing in alternative hair for women in the PCOS community – and wig-lovers everywhere! Notice the ".com" – it's very important, and how you know you're not getting ripped off by Rosegal!

For reference:

1. These videos are “fresh from the box” and the hair is intentionally left unstyled. While most of the hair in these videos will look better once styled, we hope to provide you with a glimpse of what you can expect when you buy these online and first unbox them.

2. Heather’s circumference is 23.5” (large) and her ear-to-ear is 13.5” (average). This is why she states she has an average-large cap size in many of the videos!

3. The length of Heather’s face front bottom of the center of hairline to point of chin is 8.5”

4. The width of Heather’s face at the broadest point is 10.5”.
