Speaking on this occasion Lt. Governor Murmu complimented the J&K Police particularly the Principal and Staff of PTS Manigam for a very colourful and smart parade. He also congratulated the winners of different prizes, the parents and relatives of the passing out police personnel. The Lt. Governor said that J&K Police has remained on forefront of maintenance of law and order, security and safety of the people as also in relief and rescue operations. He said that the government is considering to look favourably into the demand of increasing training allowances of the staff posted in training centres. Lt. Governor said that his government is also actively considering filling up of 40000 to 50000 vacancies in different departments. He said that it was heartening to note that the J&K Police is recruiting four battalions two women and two border battalions. He expressed his satisfaction that the jawans of the PTS Manigam have undergone very tough and tedious training.
Early in his address, the Director General of Police Dilbag Singh thanked the Lt. Governor for gracing the occasion. He said that in last fortnight or so there have been three good interactions of the Lt. Governor with the police officers and personnel which shows the priority the Lt. Governor is giving the police.
Addressing the pass outs, the Director General of Police complemented them for undergoing rigorous training successfully. He said that the parade, turn-out and the ambiance of the whole programme shows the hard work of staff of the PTS Manigam. While complimenting the passing out turnout the DGP hoped that they will work with dedication for the Nation and UT of Jammu and Kashmir. He advised the recruit constables to perform and fulfill the goals of the oath which they have taken today. He said that the composition of the batch is an example of unity in diversity. He congratulated the award winning Jawans and also the families and relatives of passing out constables. He said that from now onwards, these families have joined the huge Police Pariwar. He said that due to its exemplary work, the police has earned a name for itself.

Gillani, IGP CRPF Kashmir Rajesh Kumar, IGP Armed Kashmir Vijay Kumar, IGP Kashmir S.P Pani, DC Ganderbal Hashmat Ali Khan, SP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal, COs of Armed / IRP Bns. / CRPF, Principal of Police Training Schools, parents and relatives of Recruit Constables and other senior Police officers were present on the occasion.
