In the Art of The Force Awakens, JJ Abrams reveals the first lightsaber in the new Disney canon. The most primitive lightsaber, it's called. Quite a leap when comparing it to Mace Windu's gold plated lightsaber from Revenge of the Sith.
Do you think we'll get some Old Republic info in Episode 9 Rise of Skywalker? It was in the book, so that makes me wonder if we'll see it in the films.
