ATTOG WELCOMES GOVT’S DECISION IN MAKING 15 YEARS DOMICILE & BADGES COMPULSORY FOR TAXI DRIVERS

The Association of Tourist Taxi Owners Goa have welcomed the State Government's decision to make 15 years domicile and badges compulsory for taxi drivers. State Transport Department through a circular issued on 16th October 2019 has made badges, 15 years domicile and police clearance mandatory for taxi drivers. The Association has stated that the move will help in protecting the interest of local taxi operators, who are facing tough time due to entry of outsiders. Taxi operators have thanked Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho and Transport Director Rajan Satardekar for protecting the interest of locals.
