Wadi e Jinn - Al Baida
(Wadi means a valley) Famous with the name of Wadi Jinn, actual name Wadi Al-Baida. Its on the outskirt of Madinah city. Its almost 35km away from Masjid-e-Nabwi. Its a nice place between the mountains and some green area. The specialty is that the flow of everything from this wadi is towards Madinah city. So once you pass the wadi gate, you can feel that car requires little more power to move towards the end of wadi. Once at the end and you turn the car around just leave it on neutral and enjoy the car ride with just steering control and brake without the need for acceleration.
There is a tale usually famous for this wadi related to the era of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which doesn't have any solid background. Also there are other places in the world with same phenomena known as: Magnetic Hill, Magnet Mountain, Gravity Hill, Mysterious Spot and Mystery Hill. But in actual there is no such thing like magnetic forces or the beings from 4th dimension. The topography of the surrounding area gave an impression that the slight downhill slope seems to be an uphill slope and gives an impression that water is flowing uphill.
Other than that you can enjoy desert bikes by renting out. There are huts to do the BBQ and enjoy the wilderness.
Just have to be a bit careful, as on the weekends or public holidays, lot of young guys come there for car racing and drifting as well. Some doing stunts on desert bikes as well. And a lot of people (mostly south Asians) doing experiment with water flow on the road.
