BRIDGE: Melisa Acosta Hopes to Link Scientific Understanding to Japan's Public via CICLO Magazine

BRIDGE: Melisa Acosta Hopes to Link Scientific Understanding to Japan's Public via CICLO Magazine Melisa Acosta is a social entrepreneur who co-founded Japan's first sustainability-centered online magazine, CICLO. She graduated from university in Japan with a degree in Molecular Biology and has long had a passion for international collaboration to work on solving environmental issues.

She describes her reason to start the CICLO magazine with her Japanese husband as a way to fill the gap in understanding between the scientific community and the general public in regards to understanding sustainability issues in Japan.

Melisa has been very active in the proactive social entrepreneurship community in Tokyo led by SOCIAL INNOVATION JAPAN. Now Melisa has moved to Fukuoka and is just starting to settle into Kyushu's largest city- I look forward to following all the great things she will get started there!
