Simple Slice (New Beginner Pattern) Part 3

Simple Slice (New Beginner Pattern) Part 3 Simple Slice
Part 3 of 3 part video series.
Link to video one and three will be below.

This "Simple Slice" Pattern is as the name says, Simple...
It requires a layercake of 42 squares, and 2 yards of a background fabric for blocks/sashing and first border.

So simple I do not even need to write a pattern.

Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy.

Directions:
Take your 42 piece Layercake. Separate into piles your comfortable cutting. All cuts are the same.
From side facing the fabric cut over 7". Then from the bottom without moving fabric (or use a turning mat) cut 7".
You should then have 1 7x7", 2 3x7" and 1 3x3" piece as seen in video.

Then take 2 yards (safe amount to add first border, I say 1.5 yard but do 2) and cut 1" strips X width of fabric (cutting about 26 strips total) Then as seen chain piece all the cut sides of the top 3x7" onto the strips and then again after trimming apart do the same with the 7x7" pieces, always sewing on the cut or right hand side.
Keep stacks together. Then sew the left side pieces to the right side pieces.
After they are paired up. Then to chain piece strips on now the other directions as seen in video. After trimmed sew the other half of the blocks. Matching up the seam line when right side together. Follow the video to better understand. But is seriously is that simple.
Dashing the 1" strips will be in video 3.
Video 2 is chain piecing together the rest that I didn't get in video 1.

So the layout is really up to you. But I laid them out...
