Calmness and self confidence are important

A few month ago Noah would have run away from this noisy machines. During daily experience without any pressure in total freedom to make own decisions he has learned to deal with this situations. His self-confidence has increased enormously. Degas has been a great teacher too.
If I would have tried to keep him on a rope, obliging him to resist, I would have increased his flight instincts.
Now he is becoming a horse that starts to reason before just running away. In my opinion only a horse that has enough self esteem and calmness is ready to carry a person on the back, apart from the physical preparation.
