AROUND 6336 FARMERS AFFECTED BY FLOOD: BABU KAVLEKAR_Prudent Media Goa

Dy. Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Babu Kavlekar has informed that around 6336 farmers have been affected the latest flood in State incurring a loss of around ₹ 9 Cr. Government has a provision of only ₹ 1 Cr for Agriculture. Kavlekar himself has admitted that the available fund is not sufficient for relief for affected farmers. However, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has set deadline of August 25.
