The Damaging Effects of the World War II Experience - Harry Kawahara Harry Kawahara grew up in San Leandro, California, and was ten years old when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He was incarcerated with his family at the Tanforan Assembly Center, California, and the Topaz concentration camp, Utah. In this clip, he talks about the psychological trauma he suffered from being held in the camps during the war.
