Pay rise offer for Qld teachers to avert state-wide strike

All 46,000 Queensland teachers have received an offer of a 2.5 per cent pay increase, a $1,250 sign-on bonus and a $1,000 incentive for regional jobs, in hopes to deter a strike planned in the coming weeks.
