How to Refill a Fire Extinguisher with Water

How to Refill a Fire Extinguisher with Water I have gotten dozens of requests over the years asking how I manage to refill used extinguishers with water. I do not recommend doing this, especially when you're doing it for life safety purposes. I am not responsible for YOUR actions.

I recommend having an ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher pressurized by the manufacturer or a professional service company always at the ready, these extinguishers are more reliable and can put out more fires. Even if you have one filled up with water, still have an untouched ABC extinguisher at the ready. I like having both types around simply because one does not leave a mess. In a true larger fire emergency, I'll go for the dry chemical ABC one or just evacuate and let the fire department take care of the situation. Thank you for viewing!
