DOCTOR Q&A: Can I cope with doctors working hours? | Dr Sarah Nicholls There's no getting around it: doctor's work long hours. Before I started medical school I often wondered how I would cope with the doctor's rota and working hours, and a question that a lot of you ask me is "will I be able to cope with the junior doctor shift pattern?"

Obviously I can't answer that question for YOU, but I can tell you what my experience has been because I totally get how nerve racking it is to apply to a career in which you're not sure if he workload will just be too high to manage!
