Cameron Boyce’s charitable spirit lives on.
Hey everyone, it’s Maddie Conklin with Clevver News and some big names have taken it upon themselves to keep Cameron Boyce’s charitable legacy alive.
Disney and Adam Sandler, separately, have come out and announced intentions to honor Cameron by donating to Cameron’s favorite charities and encouraging others to as well.
After the untimely passing of the actor, Disney announced they were cancelling the red carpet for Cameron’s upcoming film, “Descendants 3” and instead will be donating to ‘The Thirst Project’ which was an organization that Cameron helped raise more than $30,000 for.
‘The Thirst Project’ is a non-profit that helps deliver clean water to communities around the world.
In its announcement Disney stated,
"We are proud to be part of Cameron Boyce's legacy by showcasing his talents on screen but we are cancelling the red carpet premiere event for 'Descendants 3' scheduled for July 22 and instead, The Walt Disney Company will make a donation to the Thirst Project, a philanthropic organization to which Cameron was deeply committed. Thank you for understanding."
Adam Sandler, Cameron’s co-star in “Grown Up’s” 1 and 2, also urged fans to donate to the non-profit and other charities, as he felt this was a good way to honor Cameron.
Sandler posted on Instagram saying,
“Cameron Boyce (@thecameronboyce) worked hard to help other people through great charitable organizations like @thirstproject & LA United Way. Let’s show our love and respect by continuing to support them in his name.”
This is truly an amazing way to honor someone like Cameron Boyce, who spent a lot of his young life giving back to others.
Rest in peace Cameron. We all miss you so much.
