In this video I talk about the issue that we will face with the intersection of autonomous vehicles and CO2 emissions. The first real problem that autonomous vehicles will have is the increase of trips made. If it becomes easy to order your goods to be shipped autonomously, then there is an increased likelihood of redundancy in those trips. Because of the increased demand of these services, more vehicles will be commissioned to services those needs. In the end this will increase CO2 emissions drastically. My solution is a few companies sharing their data collection with each other to reduce the potential waste of redundant trips being made.
