Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge/Causeway - English (A Superb Ride on a Sea)

Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge/Causeway - English (A Superb Ride on a Sea) Sheikh Jabir Al Ahmad Causeway or Subiya Causeway bridge is one of the prides of Kuwait. This bridge is recently opened for the public and is considered one of the longest bridge in the world built on the sea. It is 48.53 km long. It has two sections which connect Subiya, Shuwiak and Doha. There is nothing else other than the beautiful peaceful sea on both the sides of the bridge. It seems there is room for the passage of ships and other means of water transport under this bridge. The bridge has modern traffic cameras installed to monitor traffic. Heard that there would be enforcement actions on those who stopped or even driven slowly for sightseeing.
This will be highly helpful to those who reside in residential cities such as Jabir Al Ahmad, Boobiyan, Al Jahra, and the proposed project Silk City. There are restrictions to heavy weight trucks. They need to weigh their vehicle before entering. There are weighing bridges installed at Doha and Shuwiak.
This bridge reduces the distance between Kuwait city and al Subiya from 104 km to 36 km and traveling time with allowed speed limit from 90 minutes to 30 minutes.
There are two man-made islands built in between with an area of 30 hectares. These islands will have buildings for traffic emergency, maintenance, and facility for refueling vehicles. It is a great achievement of Kuwait and a big salute to the Kuwait Government. Let's have a wonderful ride on the bridge. Explore and enjoy.
