The objective behind any NFL trade is pretty simple: Teams are trying to make themselves better by acquiring talent, future assets, or in some cases, just to clear up some much needed cap space. You help me, I help you. It’s supposed to be a win-win for both sides.

Now, in many cases, both teams DO come away as “winners” in a blockbuster trade. In many other cases, however, one team emerges as a major winner; the other a big-time loser.

Rarely do we see a blockbuster trade where both teams come away as total losers...but it happens.
